I'm going to grow them this year.....

 ...if it kills me!!  Butternut squash that is.

  Grown all sorts of mad stuff over the years like tobacco etc but can I get butternut squash to grow properly?  The last couple of years I've a-l-m-o-s-t managed it but ran out of summer just as things were coming along.  Well this year, I'm taking no chances.  Potted up some seeds about a fortnight ago and they are up already!  Just a bit worried that by the time it's safe to plant them outside, they'll be huge!

  Anyway, mild and sunny outside today so gave them their first bit of sunbathing practice.  Mustn't forget to bring them in.....
